Mindfulness is a practice that is much more basic than one would realize. The word
“mindfulness” is often misinterpreted because some may associate this word with
something much more complex than it truly is. Living a life that is practiced more
mindfully will have many benefits to your cognition and satisfaction of life. It is a
practice that involves stopping, breathing, and observing. Implementing these simple
mindfulness techniques throughout the day will help you to stay calm, focused,
optimistic, and kind. This will help you live in the present moment.
Some of the tools you will learn in this workshop will also help to reduce stress,
improve concentration, expand memory, decrease emotional reactivity, cognitive
flexibility, higher level of satisfaction in relationships, etc.
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the Now the primary
focus of your life.” – Buddha
